Frequently asked questions
Osteopathy is a healthcare discipline focused on diagnosing and treating pain and dysfunction in muscles, joints, and the musculoskeletal system. It relies on hands-on techniques that support the body’s ability to restore balance, improve mobility, and naturally recover. The goal is to reduce pain, improve function, and enhance long-term wellbeing.
Treatment is hands-on and individually tailored. It may include joint mobilization, gentle manipulation, myofascial release, postural work, and circulation-improving techniques. Everything is applied in a controlled manner with the aim of reducing pain, restoring mobility, and improving daily function.
You can book an appointment directly. If you have medical reports or a specialist’s opinion, please bring them – they help speed up the assessment and treatment plan.
The first appointment usually lasts 45–60 minutes and includes consultation, functional assessment, movement tests, and a treatment plan with exercise explanations and recommendations.
Therapy should not be painful, but mild discomfort is possible. Light muscle soreness 24–48 hours after treatment is normal; sharp pain is not and should be reported immediately.
It depends on the condition and daily habits (movement, work, stress). Some people feel improvement immediately, but noticeable progress is usually expected within 3–6 sessions combined with home exercises.
Yes – through assessment, manual therapy, and targeted stabilization exercises. In cases of suspected acute neurological conditions, diagnostics and medical consultation come first.
Bring any medical reports you have and wear comfortable clothing that allows movement (tracksuit or leggings). You may also bring clean sports shoes if needed.
Yes – the focus is on a safe return to sport through pain control, mobility, strength, stability, and load progression. You receive an exercise plan and clear return-to-training criteria.
Massage can be part of the treatment plan for relaxation and circulation, but therapy goes further by addressing the root cause through assessment, education, and exercises—not just temporary relief.
Yes – home exercises are essential. They maintain treatment effects and speed up recovery. The plan is simple, clear, and adapted to your time and fitness level.
If you have a fever, an acute infection, a recent injury with suspected fracture, or sudden severe neurological symptoms, consult a doctor first. In other cases, safety is assessed on-site.
